The friends I have post less and less, and I'd like more responses to my entries.

I don't post very often (probably once a week or so) and I comment if something strikes me as interesting. I don't particularly dig the "woe is me" journal posts, but I do like posts that are intellectually, and emotionally, stimulating.

I'm 22, I live in Massachusetts, U.S.A., I'm in college working towards an English Major so I do like to talk about books, movies, culture, etc. I'm interested in hearing about truth. I can be offensive in my writing and very detailed...so be prepared for that if you decide to befriend me.

I obviously talk about my own life, my sister, my boyfriend, blah blah...reading my earlier posts would probably fill you in with that information...but lately I've been writing about the books I'm reading in my classes or quotes I find interesting.

Wow, this is a long post for selling myself as interesting and worthy of more friends on here...hmmmmmmm.

I love DJ, and no, I don't have a LJ (actually I do but I never use it) and if you write well and interesting things, I'll comment regularly.

Back on DJ ... need some friends so i'll actually update more :) .. I just turned 27 yrs old and am typical girl, I have my good days and my bad ... normally bitch about family or work in my journal ... just started a job in july as a clerk in an inpatient mental ward ... talk about fun lol I'm enaged to the guy I've been with for almost 10 years and planning our wedding and family , I'm into games no matter if it's wii, xbox or computer ... fairly on the nerdy side sometimes ... I was recently on stage with jay moore at the blizzcon convention in cali in aug and compeated in the sound contest for world of warcraft ... had the time of my life!

Hey all. I'm Jaleesa and one of the seemingly many making a return to this site. I actually have two accounts on this site, one of which I already broke in earlier this year (inso____maniac) but I couldn't quite get comfortable with that journal. This account is a bit older than that one and still has all the original entries and something about that makes me feel rooted, so I thought I'd try again.

I'm 21 and from Atlanta, GA. I like baseball, music, art, reading, and I'm an overall aesthetics junkie. I'm a fairly positive person, but I have been through some things that can make it seem less so. I'm in the process of transferring to another college, as an English major. I write fairly long entries, but I'm trying to work on shortening them up. Hopefully that'll happen as I get more use to this journal.

I'm not looking for people who comment when they really have nothing of value to say, and I'd like not to be added to the lists of anyone who expects lots of comments on every entry. The site is dead enough that I know I shouldn't be picky, but I do like to have genuine connections with people I call friends. If you're cool with that, feel free to check me out and add me!

I live in Portland, OR with my husband and three cats. I will be FIFTY on the last day of August - oh my god, it still hasn't sunk in. I will soon be initiated as a priest of Yemaya in the Lucumi/Santeria tradition. I podcast old bellydance music on my site, Radio Bastet - Vintage Belly Dance Music. I am also a struggling student doula with the CBI program, an amateur rootworker and graduate of cat yronwode's Lucky Mojo Hoodoo Rootwork Course, MSTie, creator of the Beatnik Goth subculture (I think? I can't be the only one - somebody prove me wrong!), political lefty, mermaid freak-a-zoid, cat wrangler, book hoarder, offbeat movie lover, neophyte knitter barely past the scarf stage, and lapsed bellydance student. In spite of all this, I am frequently bored. What can I say - I'm flawed.

I have just come back to dead journal. I have a Live Journal, but this is where I write what I can’t write there. This translates into – I rant …. A LOT .

A little about me, I am 27, I have a 4 month old son. I am pagan… but not a fluffy pagan. I am married to the most wonderful (annoying) man ever. I am a clinically diagnosed bi-polar, but I very rarely write about that because I don’t let it define me.
Right now I am a stay at home mom, but I am a medical aesthetician by trade and I run all the bookkeeping/website/admin stuffs for my husbands business Steel Rose Creations. Steel Rose Creations creates custom steel BDSM equipment and accessories. I am quite active in the BDSM scene in Toronto – or at least I was before getting pregnant lol. I am still active, just in a more behind the scenes roll now.

My father was an alcoholic and a drug addict. He took peyote one night and prayed to God to let him meet the right woman, the one that would save his life... The very next day he saw a beautiful glowing blond-haired woman, reading stories to a group of black kids outside of a fair ride. (he was a carny)... and he KNEW that he had found his angel. A couple years later, clean and sober, he convinced my mother to have me and I was born January 22nd 1985 in Louisville, KY. My mother passed away unexpectedly and tragically on Thanksgiving of 2007. RIP mom, our angel. November 28th 1950- Novemebr 22nd 2007. You were my best friend and very special to us all. She had a Livejournal. It was [info]starrshine1 =( I miss you, mommy.

I am diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. I am currently on meds/in therapy. I do BASE group ever Monday and I LOVE my psychiatrist. She is beautiful and amazing an a Harry Potter geek, like me. I'm lucky to have FINALLY found a good psychiatrist and everything.

I SUPPORT THE LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA. If for no other reason- ALCOHOL is a DANGEROUS and LEGAL drug. I figure, if it's going to be legal, then marijuana should be, as well. It's proven fact that marijuana is hardly harmful and it's worst side-effect is laziness. So yes, legalize pot already.

I'm an old school raver. A lot of my heart still lives within these events, yet I hardly "party" any longer due to responsibilities. It's been about 2 years since i last went to a rave, but that doesn't mean I don't miss it or desire a good show soon. My husband wants to wait until a few GOOD DJs come around or until we have the money to travel to a huge bomb-ass warehouse party..... no more VFWs for us.

Spiritually I can not label my religion. It's a mixture. I suppose he most I'll put in here is that my beliefs are sort of a mixture of New Age, Christianity, Shamanism, and Hinduism. I do not believe that God has a human-looking body or a body at all and I sort of believe that God is The Sun (for multiple reasons). I believe that God is the bright light you see at the end of the tunnel during a near death experience, the creator force that keeps us alive, and so forth.

I have 3 children and I'm an evil "moo"/"breeder." My oldest two are daughters, ages 7 and 4. While my youngest is my baby man, age 1 year old. They are pretty much my reason to live. Nothing, no euphoria, no connection with anyone, nothing on earth compares to the beauty that is being a parent, IMO. I am truly blessed. However, merely because I am a mother- That does NOT mean I have no interests of my own (which I think you can tell by now).

I'm pretty much a Cobra Starship groupie. lol. I'm not going to explain this one.

I'm in my early 40s, and love the internet and journal sites. Am married and proud to admit that. Recently my spouse and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary. I've listed lots of interests in my profile. I do like to post pictures of whatever in my postings.

This is to everyone who responded to my last post (der, that's what it says in the subject), just because it is easier than responding to everyone who commented.

If you want to add me as a friend there are just a FEW things you need to know about me before adding me, because as everyone knows, not everyone goes well together.

- I am bisexual. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 and a half years however. I sometimes talk about sexual things in my journal.
- I can get obsessed with things. I try not to be redundant, but mini-obsessions can make their way into my journal.
- I write about a LOT of different things in my journal. Sometimes I ramble, like a stream of concious. Sometimes it is just a little entry about what went on in my day. Every now and then I'm sure I write things that don't make sense, or only make sense to me.
- I am not politically correct. I am very blunt, and I can make some bad jokes and whatnot, however, I am not racist, nor does someone's sexuality effect my opinion of them. Sometimes just the way I write may not always be politically correct.
- I can get behind on things, but I always do my best to catch up, sometimes this makes me leave a lot of comments in one day if I have a day of catching up, for example.
- I will only add you if you will make effort to read at least some of my entries.
- I smoke pot often, drink very occasionally. Sometimes I do write about that.
- I REALLY like reading, writing, movies and music.
- I have some personality disorders. I don't write a lot about those, but if we become friends, I am sure you will learn more about it.
- I also have chronic pain, it is pretty much the same as the PDs. The only reason I mention this is because they are mentioned every now and then in my journal, and I am also on some controversial medication for both.
- This leads to my next issue, I guess. I don't like to mention it, and it's not necessarily something I even write about in my journal often, but unfortunately it has become something I have to include when I describe myself, because it influences so much of my life now, unfortunately but...my family and I were stabbed. A long time ago. But I DO talk about it when I get angry/sad about it. And it does effect my day-to-day life.

I think that's pretty much anything anyone would need to know that may prevent them from adding me....The only way I will not add someone if they are illiterate. Your journal entries have to make sense. Also, I don't like to read things like "Today I went to work. It was good. I had a ham and cheeze sandwhich. Susan told a really funny joke today..." or "Today I played Halo for 16 hours, my avatar fell in love with this other avatar..." and so on....So, if anyone is still interested, I am going to be active, and I want to have friends added when I start.
